

The intensity of tinnitus was examined through a numeric scale from 0 to 10, assuming as tinnitus modulation the immediate increase or decrease of at least one point in the scale and/or changes in the type of sound. All of them underwent an evaluation protocol and digital pressure, in order to search for trigger points in 9 bilateral muscles in the head, neck and shoulder girdle. Method: In this case control study 94 subjects with tinnitus, and 94 symptomless were analyzed.
